Should celebrities blast their critics? | The Tylt
Nicki Minaj obliterated a writer over the weekend. The Barb-in-charge slid into a writer's DMs on Instagram and gave her the "tongue lashing read around the world," for writing negative things about her. Writer Wanna Thompson made comments about Nicki's age and suggested she produce more mature content because she is pushing close to 40. Some say Nicki took it too far, but others say her words were justified. Do celebs have a right to address their critics?
Should celebrities blast their critics?
Nicki Minaj has been in the game for like 10 years. She’s an A list celebrity and rich as fuck. She has performed with BEYONCE.— Miss Esthetician to YOU (@CruzanChoklate) July 1, 2018
Why is she running up in ppl dms over some rant that most of our asses clearly never saw? Why did SHE even see if?
Girl, go adjust your wig.
Nicki Minaj is a loser and so is Karen Civil. Thanks for coming to my podcast today!— iced t (@ibelongtotheTL) July 2, 2018
I think Nicki Minaj is just fed up with people bashing her, she does ALOT of ignoring but at times when she sees some ignorant shit she responds. Y’all act like just because she’s rich, famous and in her 30’s she cant have feelings? Nobody is perfect.— Masin Elijè (@MasinElije) July 2, 2018
I understand that many people don’t like/are bored with Nicki Minaj but I don’t think telling her to make ‘more mature content’ cos she’s ‘pushing 40’ makes any sense.— Wend-of-Change (@WendyA__) July 2, 2018
Do we demand the same from male rappers?
