Stephanie Meyer shocked fans in May when she announced the long-awaited addition to the "Twilight" saga: "Midnight Sun." The book will follow Edward Cullen's perspective on his love story with Bella Swan, and fans can hardly wait until the Aug. 4 release date. Meanwhile, Suzanne Collins plans to publish the "Hunger Games" prequel, "The Ballad of Songbird and Snakes" on May 19. Collins' book will take place decades before the drama in the original "Hunger Games" trilogy and will follow the early life of President Snow. Between these two flashbacks to the series we love, which one will you be buying?

Just when you thought your "Twilight" phase was something to look back on, here it comes again in full force. Stephanie Meyer plans to release an additional component to the saga: a book entirely devoted to Edward Cullen's point of view. The book is scheduled for release in early August and will be well over 600 pages of vampire delight. Some fans can't wait to sink their teeth (couldn't help it) into this new addition, while others prefer to leave their "Twilight" chapter closed. Will you be reading "Midnight Sun"?

But if "Twilight" isn't your thing, there's another wonderful option for you: "The Hunger Games." Suzanne Collins' prequel to the series will be released in late May, just in time for many fans to kick off their summer reading with a blast from the past. Rather than chronicle the lives of Katniss and Peeta, "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" will show fans a new side of the villain, President Snow. If you're excited about this book, the time to place your preorder is now!

If you love these series, books in general, or even just the idea of books, check out this episode from The Tylt's "Tell Me Everything." Editor-at-Large, Jessie Blaeser, sits down with Janet Geddis, the owner of a lovely bookstore in Athens, Georgia to learn about the meaning of community through books. Geddis explains how independent bookstores play a role in cultivating that community.
