Favorite Disney star turned pop star: Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez?
Miley Cyrus got her start as Hannah Montana on the show of the same name, centering on a girl living a double life as both a pop star and normal teenager.
As a teen queen, Cyrus scored hits outside of her Hannah alter ego with "The Climb" and "Party in the U.S.A." Both songs peaked within the top five on the Billboard Hot 100.
Cyrus officially dropped her teenybopper image with "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball." While she garnered backlash for cultural appropriation during that "Bangerz" era, she returned to her country "roots" with her 2017 LP "Younger Now."

Selena Gomez made her breakthrough by playing Alex Russo on "Wizards of Waverly Place" from 2007 to 2012. She showed off her musical chops by singing the theme song to the show.
During the show's run, Gomez released three albums with her band, Selena & the Scene, before going solo with her 2013 chart-topping debut LP "Stars Dance." The album produced the top 10 pop hit "Come & Get It." Her sophomore album "Revival" gained even more hits: "Good for You," Same Old Love" and "Hands to Myself."
