iHeartRadio Best Duo/Group of the Year: Migos or the Chainsmokers? | The Tylt

iHeartRadio Best Duo/Group of the Year: Migos or the Chainsmokers?

Migos and the Chainsmokers dominate their respective genres, and that's why both are nominated for Best Duo/Group of the Year at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Migos' "Bad and Boujee" topped the Billboard Hot 100 in early 2017, followed by their chart-topping trap sophomore LP "Culture." The Chainsmokers continued their EDM reign in 2017 with their official debut album "Memories...Do Not Open," topping the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Who should win? 🎤

On March 11, the 5th Annual iHeartRadio Music Awards is honoring the best music artists heard across radio stations throughout the year. There were plenty of super-duos and groups who conquered mainstream music in 2017, so the Tylt is joining in on the voting and bracketing which artist should win Best Duo/Group of the Year.

Unfortunately, our bracket had to leave someone off, and that's Portugal. The Man. The Chainsmokers, Migos, Maroon 5 and Imagine Dragons were respectively among some of the top duos/groups of 2017. Fandoms can officially vote via iHeartRadio's site, but we are also asking you all to predict who will win the coveted award with our hashtags!

Don't forget to cast your vote for the rest of our Male Artist of the Year bracket below:

Migos are among trap's best and most distinct, ranked by Billboard at #4 on the Top Artist—Duo/Group chart. The trio scored their first #1 smash with "Bad and Boujee" in early 2017 and since released hits like "Motorsport" with Nicki Minaj and Cardi Band another #1 album "Culture II" in early 2018. If anything, Migos stands out the most among the pop bands and groups nominated for Best Duo/Group of the Year.

Below are some notable lyrics to "Motorsport," per Genius.

🎶Motorsport, yeah, put that thing in sport (skrrt, skrrt). Shawty bad (bad), pop her like a cork (pop it). You a dork, never been a sport (dork, yeah). Pull up, woo, woo, jumpin' out the court (jump). Cotton candy (drink), my cup tastes like the fair (cotton). Straight up there (where?), we didn't take the stairs (where?). Faced my fears (fears), gave my mama tears (mama). Shiftin' gears (shift), on the Nawf, get serious (serious).🎶

Billboard ranked the Chainsmokers at #1 on the Top Artists—Duo/Group chart of 2017. The duo released their official debut studio LP "Memories...Do Not Open" in the spring of 2017, topping the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. And if 2016 wasn't a big enough year for the Chainsmokers, they released more top 10 hits like "Paris" and "Something Just Like This." The Chainsmokers are literally the top duo/group right now, and iHeartRadio is clearly aware of this.

Below are some notable lyrics to "Something Just Like This" featuring Coldplay, per Genius

🎶But she said, where'd you wanna go? How much you wanna risk? I'm not looking for somebody, with some superhuman gifts. Some superhero, some fairytale bliss. Just something I can turn to. Somebody I can kiss.🎶
