Who's the scariest horror movie monster: Michael Myers or Chucky?

Michael Myers and Chucky are the only horror movie icons left standing from our Monster Madness bracket—an epic rematch of last year's final showdown. Chucky is a potty-mouthed doll possessed by a serial killer looking for a human host. The "good guy doll" is our reigning champ from 2016 and 2017. Michael Myers is the un-killable embodiment of suburban evil and his newest movie is box office smash. Myers, a.k.a. The Shape, is ready to finally take down that killer doll. Who's the scarier movie monster?

What's not to love (and fear) about John Carpenter's classic monster? Michael Myers is basically un-killable—in the first movie alone he's shot at least six times, stabbed in the eye with a coat-hanger, falls out a second-story window, and then walks off into the night. Freakishly strong, he can pop a kid's head like a grape without breaking a sweat. And he never runs after his victims, stalking them up and down the winding streets of suburbia at a nice, leisurely strut. What a cool guy!

The brother of original scream queen Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), Michael Myers is the embodiment of evil. "Halloween" starts with a point-of-view shot from the eyes of six-year-old Michael as he stabs his older sister to death. His murderous streak gets him a life sentence in the local asylum, which lasts until he breaks out on Halloween Eve. Whatever kind of mental health treatment he received at the hands of Dr. Samuel Loomis during that time definitely didn't stick, because he's every bit as murder-crazed as he was as a child, wreaking havoc on the teenage populations of Haddonfield, Illinois.

Audiences can't get enough of The Shape, as Myers has appeared in 10 movies (because who's counting "Halloween III: Season of the Witch"?), the most recent of which just made nearly $80 million in its opening frame. Altogether, Michael Myers has made over $648 million in adjusted ticket sales (not including "Season of the Witch" or the new "Halloween" movie), which could buy a guy a lot of jumpsuits and white masks!

Michael was born a human child, but somewhere along the line, he became extraordinarily hard to kill. Like the Timex of horror monsters, Michael can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. See all of Michael's deaths below!

Filmmaker Don Mancini created Chucky with the release of "Child's Play" in 1988, launching a new slasher horror franchise. The supernatural horror-slasher franchise has spawned six sequels and has a reboot in the making. So far, the franchise has grossed over $176 million globally at the box office. While not a huge box office draw, Chucky is arguably the most beloved out of all the horror movie monsters. He's the reigning champion of the monster madness bracket for two years in a row!

Chucky is a Good Guy doll possessed by "the Lakeshore Strangler" Charles Lee Ray. The serial killer uses a voodoo amulet to transfer his conscious into the '80s childhood doll. Throughout the franchise, Chucky attempts to transfer his soul into a human host, originally terrorizing poor Andy, who only wanted to Good Guy doll to play with. Later, Chucky's love interest Tiffany joins him in his murderous rampage. They are the parents of twins Glen and Glenda.

Yep, two killer dolls reproduced! But reproducing isn't Chucky's only ability. He also has regenerative abilities and knows his voodoo! He's literally the last thing you'll expect to be a serial killer because he's a such a good guy!
