Better men's underwear type: boxers or briefs?

Underwear is the unsung hero of fashion. It’s protective, it’s useful, and, for many people, a point of style. For men, the question of which underwear to go with (if any) comes down mainly to two types: boxers or briefs. In fact, a lot of people view this choice as a reflection of a man’s personality. There are the boxer boys, the rebellious type that need a little breathing room. Then there are briefs boys, the fashion-conscious types that are a bit more upscale. Which do you prefer?

Aside from that, leave the tight clothing to European men. Americans don’t need such formfitting clothing to accentuate their sense of style (or to, like, prove a point). Keep it loose, fellas.

We’re sure that there are some different medical impacts between those who wear boxers and those who wear briefs, but what it really comes down to is common sense. Plenty of men wear briefs and the population is still pretty much up-and-running, right? Let those who are tightly clad live a little.

Briefs are also practical. They don’t leak over the edge the same way boxers do, and don’t force otherwise nice-looking pants to look stuffed and awkward. If you’re a boy you can wear boxers, sure. But if you’re a man? You wear briefs.
