Should Liam Neeson be canceled? | The Tylt
In a recent controversial interview, Liam Neeson told a reporter he wanted to kill a black man. The actor recounted a friend confiding in him that she was raped by a black man. Neeson claimed this upset him to the point he would go out in hopes of getting into an altercation with a black man so he could kill him. Detractors are now calling him a racist, but the actor recently sat down with "Good Morning America" to say he isn't racist. Should the actor be canceled?

Critics are taking Liam Neeson's words at face value. Folks are calling him racist; they argue it is irrational, troubling and racist to assault a random person based on the color of their skin. That's a hate crime. It's even more dangerous to hold an entire race of people accountable for one man's alleged actions.
Some argue the actor isn't racist, but was just being honest about his anger and feelings towards the situation. More importantly, the actor acknowledged the craziness of his thoughts in the interview with The Independent.
“It was horrible, horrible, when I think back, that I did that,” he said. “And I’ve never admitted that, and I’m saying it to a journalist. God forbid.”
He added: “It’s awful. But I did learn a lesson from it, when I eventually thought, ‘What the fuck are you doing’, you know?
Furthermore, Neeson tried to clarify his comments and argued he's not a racist on "Good Morning America." Watch it below.
