"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" isn't getting the same love as the original film, but some fans are still excited to see the sequel. The film received a 53 percent rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics argue the film is overstuffed and not as stylish as the original. But some moviegoers are already calling the action-packed followup better than the "007" franchise. What do you think? 🎬

Below is the synopsis of "Kingsman: The Golden Circle," per IMDB.

When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, the Kingsman's journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US. These two elite secret organizations must band together to defeat a common enemy.

Boston Globe's Tom Russo called the film series better than James Bond. He writes:

With its inventively nutso action, youthful vibe, and subversive topicality, the "Kingsman" franchise feels more relevant than even Daniel Craig's James Bond. Screen espionage doesn't come any hipper these days.

But Chicago Sun-Times' Richard Roeper destroyed the movie. He says if you loved the original, stay away from the sequel. Roeper writes:

If a white towel had been handy as I screened the punishingly long and dreadful “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” I would have thrown it at the screen and made a wish: Please make it stop.
One of the worst crimes a sequel can commit is to create a scenario that undoes or renders irrelevant key moments from the original. (Hello, later “Terminator” movies.) “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” commits that offense, among many, many other injustices. Despite the admittedly arresting visuals, including some beautifully eye-popping attention to detail and color in many a scene, this is actually quite an ugly film.
