Kendrick Lamar is a highly-praised emcee and arguably may be the most acclaimed of his generation. He's been compared to past greats like Tupac. Many of his fans believe the chart-topping "To Pimp A Butterfly" and "Damn" deserved to win Album of the Year at the Grammys (although both were nominated).

But nevertheless, Kendrick is also an award-winning emcee. His latest studio album, "Damn," won the Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 2018 Grammys and also won a Pulitzer Prize in the music category. Kendrick is also commercially successful. "To Pimp a Butterfly" is certified Platinum and "Damn" is certified Triple Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Drake is arguably the most popular rapper of his generation. His commercial success only grows as he becomes more seasoned as an emcee. Drizzy is a pop-rapper—crossing over between pop and hip-hop. He scored a dozen top 10 hits on the Hot 100 in the calendar year of 2018 by October, topping a record set by The Beatles. Three of those hits topped the Hot 100—"God's Plan," "Nice for What" and "In My Feelings." All of which were contenders for 2018 Song of the Summer. Drake is the King of Pop-Rap in 2018, and his reign is nowhere near over.

Watch the music video for the chart-topping "God's Plan" below.
