While Kelly quickly became known for her pop ballads and up-tempo, R&B-fused anthems like "Miss Independent," she reinvented herself with her sophomore album "Breakaway." Her second album's lead single "Since U Been Gone" introduced her power pop-rock sound in 2004, and started a new era of breakup and empowerment anthems for the pop star.

"Since U Been Gone" peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 48th Grammy Awards. Since then, the song has been revered as one of the most significant hits of 2000s. "Since U Been Gone" ranks at #482 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time

You think you got the best of me
Think you've had the last laugh
Bet you think that everything good is gone
Think you left me broken down
Think that I'd come running backBaby you don't know me, cause you're dead wrong
