Do mental health issues excuse bad celebrity behavior? | The Tylt
Critics aren't having it with celebrities solely blaming their bad behavior on their mental health. Kanye West blamed his recent comments about slavery on bipolar disorder, and Roseanne Barr admitted to taking Ambien before she made racist comments on Twitter. But the masses aren't buying Kanye's explanation, and the maker of Ambien released a statement denouncing Roseanne's excuse. Do mental health issues excuse bad celebrity behavior?

I hate being bi-polar and it's awesome. Kanye West you're beyond a Genius !— IG:acedaanimal25 (@acedaanimal05) June 2, 2018
Please stop pushing Kanye West as the face of bi-polar disorder. As someone who lives with it & has to deal with it daily, it’s disrespectful. That man doesn’t represent or speak for many of us that are living with bipolar disorder. Stop using it to excuse his shitty behavior 😑— Digital Dashh (@dashofdashh) June 1, 2018
As someone who suffers with bi-polar, I find Kanye West's gimmicky exploitation of the condition to be revolting. I can definitively say it doesn't inherently make you a self-destructive Trumpkin cultist. Zero sympathy for that soulless embodiment of glorified ignorance.— 🔥Aiden Wolfe (@AidenWolfe) June 3, 2018
