Is Kanye West still canceled? | The Tylt
Kanye West lost a slew of fans when he revealed his support for President Donald Trump in 2018, but it looks like he regained a few. Many social media users said the rapper should be "canceled' after confessing he was pro-Trump and said, "slavery was a choice." But recently the rapper has been holding a Black church-inspired concert series in Calif. And some seem so impressed by the event they forgot what got the artist canceled in the first place. Is Kanye West still canceled?
Is Kanye West still canceled?
In May 2018, West stopped by TMZ to express his support for Trump and arguing "slavery was a choice."
Kanye appeared on the show with Candace Owens where they explained "free thought" and how it can make the world a better place ... from a place of love.
During the conversation Kanye said, "When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years?! That sounds like a choice."
After this event and a few other Twitter rants of West spewing pro-Trump rhetoric, fans decided West no longer deserved their support. And many still stand by their decision to cancel him despite the success of his concert series.
Take a look at a clip of West's "Sunday Service" below.
Many believe West deserves forgiveness. Back in October rapper Snoop Dogg who has spoken out against West posted a photo of the rapper with a caption about forgiveness.
