Die-hard "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" fans say you should go see the film.
Collider's Adam Chitwood writes:
The film toes the line between silly and serious, and while it doesn’t always hit the mark, it’s ultimately a charming, fun, and endearing affair thanks to a strong ensemble cast and a clear vision from director Dean Israelite.
The film has an overall rating of 49 percent on Rotten Tomatoes so far.
Associated Press critic Lindsey Bahr writes:
By the time the Power Rangers figure out how to morph, you're already looking for a way to morph out of the theater, which is a shame because for whatever it's worth, the cheesiest, most Power Rangers-y moments are saved for the final battle.
Supporters say "go go Power Rangers."
