Bryan Singer, the acclaimed director behind the "X-Men" franchise, is in talks to direct the biopic as a star vehicle for Rami. Sacha Baron Cohen was originally cast as Freddie, but later dropped out. But moviegoers are already saying Rami was born to play Freddie.
Even some of Rami's fans can't see it.
Critics pointed out that Rami—although Egyptian and a person of color—isn't exactly the same race or ethnicity as Freddie (who was Parsi).
