Is Lorde's 'Melodrama' better than 'Pure Heroine'?
Lorde's sophomore effort "Melodrama" is finally out, and it features the hit single "Green Light" as well as "Perfect Places," "Liability" and "Homemade Dynamite." Fans are just happy she is back and of course, many are saying she has shown growth even after an amazing debut album.

Lorde's fans regard "Pure Heroine" as a classic album four years after its release. "Melodrama" has some time to go before it can be called a classic, even if fans love it!
Her #1 pop hit "Royals" cemented her into the world of pop music. Lorde perfectly mixed dream pop (a sub-genre of alternative rock and neo-psychedelia), indie and EDM into a cohesive debut album. So it's understandable if some fans argue "Melodrama" is fantastic, but it's not on the level of "Pure Heroine."

New album = growth as an artist.
I'm so proud of Lorde. She literally outdid herself which is kinda hard since Pure Heroine is such a masterpiece. Honestly, a legend.— Lady Gaga (@KingLadyGaga) June 15, 2017
