iHeartRadio Female Artist of the Year: Adele or Sia? | The Tylt
Adele and Sia won in the first round of our iHeartRadio Awards Female Artist of the Year bracket. Adele's "Hello" scored her the top Grammy right after the pop ballad netted her Billboard's Artist of the Year. But Sia's mega dance-pop hit "Cheap Thrills" is pushing her away from underdog to pop queen status. Both queens are among the greatest pop singers who dominated iHeartRadio in 2016. But in our final round, who should win iHeartRadio's top honor for female singers? 🎤🏆

On March 5, the 4th Annual iHeartRadio Music Awards is honoring the best music artists popularly heard across radio stations throughout the year. And the Tylt is predicting the winners in the "Artist of the Year" categories in a series of iHeart brackets. The ladies nominated for Female of the Year are some of the best artists in the music game. (Unfortunately, we had to leave off a nominee in this bracket—Selena Gomez.)
Other nominees Adele, Ariana Grande, Rihanna and Sia all had some of the biggest pop tunes that not only ruled the Billboard charts, but also dominated iHeart's airwaves in 2016.
Sia surprisedly beat out Rihanna in round one, while Adele won over Ariana in a tight race. Now it's Adele versus Sia in our bracket's final round.
Who should win iHeartRadio Awards Female Artist of the Year on March 5?
Billboard named Adele not only the Female Artist of the Year, but also Artist of the Year. Shouldn't the iHeartRadio Awards follow suit? Let's go with yes!
Adele lost Female Artist of the Year to Taylor Swift at the 3rd Annual iHeartRadio Awards. So, she's overdue for some iHeartRadio love. And that should come easy—Adele's hits from her highly-praised album, "25," dominated the airwaves!
Sia sang it best on "Cheap Thrills"... "Come on, come on, turn the radio on" and you'll probably hear her music. The reggae-fused pop song is an ear-worm for sure. Just imagine how often the hit gets stuck in the heads of those listening to iHeartRadio. Uh, like a lot.
But we're sure no one minds singing alone to this dance-pop collaboration with Sean Paul. "Cheap Thrills" gave Sia her first #1 pop hit. Plus, she garnered Grammy nominations for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the hit and Best Pop Vocal Album for her album, "This Is Acting." Yeah—Sia's underdog days might be over.
#TeamSia crushed it in our first round. Fans came through for her. They really want her to deservingly win.
