iHeartRadio Best Duo/Group of the Year: The Chainsmokers or DNCE? | The Tylt
iHeartRadio Best Duo/Group of the Year: The Chainsmokers or DNCE?
On March 5, the 4th Annual iHeartRadio Music Awards is honoring the best music artists popularly heard across radio stations throughout the year. And the Tylt is predicting the winners in the "Artist of the Year" categories in a series of iHeart brackets. The groups nominated for Best Duo/Group of the Year are some of the best artists in the music game. (Unfortunately, we had to leave off a nominee in this bracket—Florida Georgia Line.) Other nominees Twenty One Pilots, Coldplay, the Chainsmokers and DNCE all had some of the biggest pop tunes that not only ruled the Billboard charts, but also dominated iHeart's airwaves in 2016.

These EDM/dance-pop groups are filling our need to party! But who should be recognized as the Duo/Group of the Year?
The Chainsmokers=EDM Gods. They even took being called "the Nickelback of EDM" pretty darn well. The duo scored #1 hits with "Closer" and "Don't Let Me Down." The latter won them a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. They were also nominated for Best Duo/Group Performance ("Closer") and Best New Artist. The duo is everywhere now, and there's no stopping them!
Who doesn't love turning on the radio to listen to a song that makes them dance?
