iHeartRadio Best Duo/Group of the Year: Twenty One Pilots or Coldplay? | The Tylt
Twenty One Pilots and Coldplay are in stiff competition for Best Duo/Group of the Year at the 4th Annual iHeartRadio Music Awards. Twenty One Pilots scored huge crossover pop-rock hits and won the Grammy for Best Duo/Group Performance. But Coldplay is still on top—despite having been out of the game for two decades. Who should win? 🎸🎤🏆

On March 5, the 4th Annual iHeartRadio Music Awards is honoring the best music artists popularly heard across radio stations throughout the year. And the Tylt is predicting the winners in the "Artist of the Year" categories in a series of iHeart brackets. The groups nominated for Best Duo/Group of the Year are some of the best artists in the music game. (Unfortunately, we had to leave off a nominee in this bracket—Florida Georgia Line.) Other nominees Twenty One Pilots, Coldplay, the Chainsmokers and DNCE all had some of the biggest pop tunes that not only ruled the Billboard charts, but also dominated iHeart's airwaves in 2016.

Both these bands ruled rock radio in 2016. But who's the duo/group of the year?
"Stressed Out," "Ride" and "Heathens" were mega hits in 2016. In fact, those are the top three rock songs and among the biggest pop hits of last year. Twenty One Pilots owned the airwaves.
It's pretty impressive to stay on top for so long in today's music industry. That's exactly what Coldplay is doing. The group's latest effort, "A Head Full of Dreams," topped the rock album chart and their tour has made an estimated $247 million. Radio still loves this British rock band. Plus, icons should always be awarded.
After nearly two decades of success, Coldplay is the most respected group nominated.
