"Gossip Girl" and "Pretty Little Liars" are beloved teen mystery series that are missed. "Gossip Girl" continued the tradition of TV's rich-teen drama, while also exploring elements of mystery—paving the way for more series like it. But "Pretty Little Liars" took the teen-mystery genre to the next level, especially with the upcoming spin-off "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists." While revivals of both have been rumored, fans are still waiting in anticipation. Which show do you miss more?

Privileged teens living on the Upper East Side of New York can hide no secret from the ruthless blogger who is always watching.

Vulture's Maggie Fremont wrote about the show's impact on the day of the show's 10th anniversary in September 2017.

As we reflect on the show’s enduring legacy, we should first give thanks for all of the wondrous gifts it bestowed upon us peasants, including but not limited to: Blair Waldorf, a weekly excuse to stare at Blake Lively’s hair, making the name “Chuck” hot, getting to say “xoxo” in a weird voice, and the resurgence of headbands.
Gossip Girl also had a lasting impact on the television landscape, especially for the teen dramas and soaps that would follow. Today, Vulture looks back at seven shows that came after Gossip Girl, in which the influence of everyone’s favorite Upper East Siders cannot be denied. You know you love me — er, it. You know you love it.

A bulk of the "Gossip Girl" crew would be open to a revival, according to Vanity Fair. Fans are so waiting for this to happen.

The last episode of Gossip Girl aired in 2012, but the show’s continued relevance means that there is talk about revisiting the franchise. Many of the cast members seem quite excited by the notion. Wallace Shawn—who played Blair’s stepfather, Cyrus Rose—practically shouted, “Oh, I would jump at it.” Rutherford said, “I would be completely on board. And I think they should do it soon.” Lively? “Of course. I’m open to anything that’s good, that’s interesting, and that sort of feels necessary. . . . I imagine we all would [consider it]. I can’t speak for everyone else, but we all owe so much to this show, and I think that it would be silly not to acknowledge that.” (Aside from Lively, the other young cast members have had trouble finding traction with film roles since the show’s end.)

Below is the synopsis of "Pretty Little Liars," per IMDb.

Four friends band together against an anonymous foe who threatens to reveal their darkest secrets, while unraveling the mystery of the murder of their best friend.

"Pretty Little Liars" was so great that the spin-off "The Perfectionists" is in production. The show is expected to premiere in 2019. According to PopBuzz:

A 10-episode season has been picked up by Freeform and the cast, including stars from Disney's The Descendants, Gossip Girl and The Walking Dead, has now been announced. Filming is due to begin in March and the show should be arriving on our screens at some point in 2019.

Currently, the show ended after seven seasons. While the spin-off is underway, fans still want to see the original series return for an eighth season, and it's very possible that someday this could happen. US Weekly's Emily Longeretta reported:

Pretty Little Liars is over — for now — but the nail is definitely not in the coffin. The creator of the series, Marlene King, told Us Weekly that she’s so crazy about the cast of the show, she’d love to bring the Freeform hit back.
“I love those characters so much. A couple of those characters are going to be in the Pretty Little Liars spinoff. I had so much fun writing for those characters again and it just made me realize how much I love writing for that world,” King told Us in an exclusive interview during the Freeform Summit on Thursday, January 18.
