"Drumline" hit theaters in 2002 and features a star-studded cast from Zoe Saldana to Orlando Jones. The film was one of Cannon's first roles and showcased his diversity as an actor. "Stomp the Yard" gave viewers an inside look into the experience of Black fraternities and sororities. The film took inspiration from nine historical Black Fraternities and Sororities known as The Divine Nine.
