Whose music do you enjoy more: Drake or The Weeknd?

Drake and The Weeknd are both known for their emotive bops! So it only makes sense that the two would go on to collaborate with each other. But their relationship has experienced some reported riffs over the years. Hence, fans have taken sides in the alleged feud. Drake has amassed seven No. 1 pop hits on the Billboard Hot 100, with 38 bops peaking within the top 10. He's also credited with helping introduce The Weeknd to the mainstream music industry. Nevertheless, The Weeknd should be credited with his own success; he's garnering five No. 1 pop hits, 10 top 10 hits and 68 entries overall on the Hot 100. The Weeknd going from an underground alternative R&B star to mainstream pop star is pretty impressive. So we ask, music do you enjoy more?

XXL Magazine has a detailed timeline of Drake and The Weeknd's relationship. Just to give a brief history, The Weeknd was expected to sign with Drake after the pop star/rapper kind of introduced him to the mainstream by sharing his music, collaborated with him and brought him on tour. But that didn't end up happening. Instead, The Weeknd signed with Republic Records with his own XO imprint.

On the latest in their drama, Drake has been accused of copying The Weeknd's flow on DJ Khaled's new track—"Greece." Check it out on Spotify and let us know what you think. 👀

And for more on how their friendship and business relationship has unraveled and has been rocky at times, check out XXL.

Drake pretty much has been on unstoppable since he rose to prominence in 2009 with his smash "Best I Ever Had," featured on his "So Far Gone" EP. Since then, he has gained MANY hits. In fact, in 11 years, he's received 222 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 (at the time of publication). Whew!

Drake was still in his own early days when he shared fellow Canadian The Weeknd's music on his social. Drizzy then collaborated with "The Hills" singer and brought him on tour. So Drake is not only one of the biggest artists of this era—let alone the last decade—but he helped the up-and-coming Weeknd break out in the early '10s. Wow...

Yes, it's true. Drake helped introduce the world to The Weeknd. But the Weeknd's early underground, alternative R&B sound featured on his mixtapes gained him his own recognition and success. Not only did he build a following with his three mixtapes and first compilation album "Trilogy," but he thrived after a transition to a more mainstream sound. In a world where fellow Canadian stars like Drake and Justin Bieber exist, as well as fellow crossover crooner Bruno Mars, The Weeknd has remained a distinctive and wildly popular "starboy."
