Does Mark Wahlberg deserve to be the highest paid actor? | The Tylt
Mark Wahlberg is the highest paid actor of 2017. While some are congratulating the Boston native, others are highlighting that not only is he overpaid, but there's a gender gap in pay for actresses. According to Forbes, Mark made $68 million, but the highest-paid actress, Emma Stone, made only $26 million. Critics also argue Mark's movies aren't good enough for him to hold the top spot. Still, "Transformers" moviegoers and Mark's fans are proud of the feat. What do you think? 🎥🌟

Mark scored the top spot on the Forbes list thanks to "Transformers: The Last Knight" and the upcoming "Daddy's Home 2." And fans are celebrating Mark's first time topping the list.
Good for @mark_wahlberg the only actor I actually care about ❤️❤️

Who would've thought the young boy from Boston on some Good Vibrations would be the world's highest paid actor. LOVE you @mark_wahlberg

But not everyone is happy for Mark's "big win." He made $42 million more than the highest-paid actress, Emma Stone. There's a huge gender pay gap in Hollywood; it's no different than it is for anyone else across industries.
Hollywood gender pay gap laid bare. Mark Wahlberg earned $42m more than the best paid actress last year. https://t.co/R4DOIac9Zj

they're all grotesquely overpaid RT @BBCNews: Mark Wahlberg earned $42m more than the best paid actress Emma Stone https://t.co/4tg1qV36RM

But "Transformers" is no longer one of the more beloved franchises. Though moviegoers go see the films for the mindless action, the series is still deteriorating. The latest installment, "The Last Knight," scored a 15 percent rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes. OUCH!
Yet, somehow Mark is still the highest-paid actor, regardless of the fact there's been a lack of acclaim for him as of late.
Overpaid crap franchise and Wahlberg a short pudknocker
