Do we need another 'Doctor Dolittle' reboot?

Robert Downey Jr. will star in a reboot of the "Doctor Dolittle" franchise. For those of you who think that the 1998 version starring Eddie Murphy was the first "Dr. Dolittle," well, you're wrong. RDJ's upcoming "The Voyage Of Doctor Dolittle" will be yet another reboot to the 1967 original starring Rex Harrison. While fans don't mind Downey taking a break from the Avengers to talk to animals, many critics argue no one was asking for a reboot. What do you think? 🎥

According to Deadline, Universal Pictures will produce the film after it was won in auction. While Downey will star in the title role, Stephen Gaghan will direct and Tom Shepherd will write the script. The film will be based on the second Dolittle book, "The Voyage Of Doctor Dolittle," written by Hugh Lofting in the 1920s.

With RDJ's name attached, some moviegoers will welcome the reboot with open arms. Others are already saying that "Doctor Dolittle" isn't a worthy franchise to even reboot... again!
