Disco-pop song of the year: '24K Magic' or 'Can't Stop the Feeling!'?
It's the end of the year! And throughout December, we're facing-off the best songs, albums, movies, TV shows, comic books, video games, sports, pro athletes and entertainers of 2016. The "Best of 2016" is chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately, we want you to let us know who and what from 2016 won the year in each category.
With JT's and Bruno's hits, disco clearly ain't dead. But which disco-pop song is the hit of the year?
And don't forget to cast your vote in these other end of year debates:
Last year, Bruno gave us that 'uptown funk.' This year his post-disco sound is next level. His "24K Magic" album is acclaimed for its throwback sound, and it all starts with the lead single of the same name. The hit debuted in the top five on the Billboard Hot 100, and has consistently remained within the top five—peaking at number four. Bruno not only has a mega post-disco hit, but he has a whole album of post-disco funk.
"Can't Stop the Feeling" might only be the lead single to "Trolls: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack," but it's still a mega hit. The song became JT's fourth ever number one pop hit on Billboard Hot 100. And the song is ranked as the 9th biggest hit of 2016 on Billboard's year-end Hot 100 chart. Try and top that, Bruno!
