Darren Criss and Lea Michele are good friends who share triple-threat talents in common. Both starred on Broadway and TV shows, and crossed over into music. But the pair is known for their roles on the hit Fox series "Glee." Lea starred on the musical series as Rachel Berry from the jump, while Darren guest-starred in season two before becoming a series regular. Both artists continue to showcase their talents across entertainment platforms, but who's your favorite actor-singer?
Favorite crossover actor-singer: Darren Criss or Lea Michele?
While Darren Criss wasn't an original cast member, he became one of the breakout stars of "Glee" as Blaine Anderson. Since then, he has dropped two EPs and continues to star successfully in Ryan Murphy productions.
Criss also won an Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for his leading performance in the critically-acclaimed miniseries "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story." Criss' career is clearly still on the rise, and it's just a matter of time before this Broadway, TV and music star transitions to the silver screen.
Before becoming a huge TV star, Lea Michele starred in "Spring Awakening" on Broadway. So it was easy for her to carry over star power to "Glee." Her role as Rachel Berry scored her two Golden Globe nods and she won a Satellite award for the comedic/dramatic/musical role. She even won Billboard's inaugural Triple Threat Award At Women in Music.
Since her days on "Glee," Michele has dropped two albums, one of which peaked in the top five on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. She also continued to work with Murphy, starring in the campy horror series "Scream Queens." Lea is a force to be reckoned with. She's got it.
