The title of the song "Surfing in the DPRK" is an obvious reference to the good vibes and fun of "Surfing USA." And hey, music can cross global boundaries to show the positive side of different nations. The Beatles did it with "Back In The USSR."  But Louis Cole, the YouTuber who made the song, is no Paul McCartney and many are saying this song is tone deaf. It ignores the human atrocities playing out in North Korea. Check out the song below and vote. Do you support this music, or is it bad propaganda.

Nail. Meet hammer.
This is an actual website. The "About" page reads: "SURF NORTH KOREA WAS DREAMT UP BY AN INTERNATIONAL GROUP OF SURFERS AND EXPLORERS SEEKING THE NEXT FRONTIER IN TRAVEL AND ADVENTURE. One late night spent trawling through satellite imagery of remote coastlines turned up a startling discovery – a hidden gem. Images of the DPRK’s coastline revealed mile upon mile of pristine, untouched beaches punctuated by epic sets of waves. Surf North Korea was born." It goes on from there.

The vlogger himself responds to criticism. Among the accusations leveled at him is that he was paid by the North Korean government and that he ignores the humanitarian crisis caused by the government. He says he simply wanted to focus on the positive things and the local people.
