Are celebrity brawls entertaining or just embarrassing?

Celebrity feuds may make for entertaining headlines, but some argue celebrity brawls are next-level embarrassing. Pacifists would never condone violence and will call out a celeb for setting a bad example. But that hasn't reportedly stopped celebs like Cardi B and Mark Burnett from attacking their enemies and providing cheerers with good entertainment. Cardi reportedly tried to throw her shoe at Nicki Minaj and got into altercation with Minaj's team at a Fashion Week party, and Tom Arnold recently said Burnett attacked him a pre-Emmy party. But are celebrity brawls really that entertaining or just pointless acts of violence?

Tom Arnold tweeted that Mark Burnett attacked him a pre-Emmy party. In the tweet, Arnold says, "Mark Burnett just went apeshit & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD."

The tension between Tom Arnold and Mark Burnett boiled over into a physical altercation at Sunday’s Evening Before Emmy party, a fundraiser for the Motion Picture Television Fund.
Details of the incident are still unclear. According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Burnett and Arnold arrived at the event held at the Lawn at Century Park at around 9:30 p.m. As both men were walking into the event, a scuffle ensued. A source with knowledge of the situation said it involved shoving but it was unclear who made the first move. Arnold claimed Burnett tried to choke him.
Arnold has been publicly bashing Burnett for months over Arnold’s insistence that the producer is protecting President Donald Trump by refusing to release outtakes from “The Apprentice” in which Trump allegedly uses racial slurs and makes other disturbing comments.

Maybe it's because of reality TV and social media, but some find celebrity brawls like this entertaining. Others argue that no one should ever put their hands on another person and condoning violence isn't cute.

Minaj says she is embarrassed by the fight at the Fashion Week party, arguing her money is too long for petty violence. Others agree—violence is never the answer because it's not worth anyone getting hurt. According to Billboard

Regardless of what actually occurred between Cardi and Nicki's teams on Friday, Minaj is regretful of having the embarrassing incident take place at New York Fashion Week. "The other night, I was a part of something so mortifying and humiliating to go through a bunch of upper-echelon people who have their lives together," she began. The way they passed by looking at this disgusting commotion, I was mortified. I could not believe how humiliating it all felt because of how we made ourselves look."

But like some social users, Cardi also has a sense of humor over her altercation. In a world of WorldStarHipHop.com, some see brawls as an amusement. And some don't find celebrity brawls to be that serious. They are celebs with egos,  petty beefs and some of it's for the cameras. Celebrity brawls are now a source of entertainment, especially with the significance of reality TV. And after all, Cardi rose to prominence because of social media and reality TV. According to People:

On Saturday, the 25-year-old Bronx-born “Bodak Yellow” rapper shared a photo of a young girl dressed up in a look nearly identical to Cardi’s during the now-infamous incident, which happened Sept. 8 at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party during New York Fashion Week.
The mini-me had her hair sleekly pulled back with a messy ponytail, just as Cardi did. She wore a flowing red dress, similar to the Dolce & Gabbana gown Cardi wore. She also layered the outfit with gold necklaces and earrings, accessories meant to mimic Cardi’s.
“Sooooooo buteeeeee ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Cardi wrote, noting that the girl was only missing one thing: a bruise on her forehead. “She forgot the knot 😩😩😩💪🏾.”
