Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" and Post Malone's "Rockstar" are not only among the year's top rap songs, but both are two of the biggest #1 hits of 2017. Cardi B broke a record with "Bodak Yellow" and became the second solo female rapper to top the Billboard Hot 100. It's the end of the year! And we're facing-off the best songs, albums, movies, TV shows, video games, sports, pro athletes and entertainers of 2017. The "Best of 2017" is chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately, we want you to let us know who and what from 2017 won the year in each category.

2017 has been filled with many great songs from today's biggest pop stars and hip-hop artists—but perhaps four epic songs stood above the rest. We are facing off some of top smashes released in 2017. In our first round, it's "Shape of You" versus "Despacito" and "Bodak Yellow" versus "Rockstar." Which will win the coveted title of "Best Song of the Year"?

And don't forget to cast your vote for these other end of year debates:

...

This isn't up for debate. "Bodak Yellow" is the anthem of the year. Period. Everyone loves this song. Everyone who hated the song, now loves the song. It's the passion behind Cardi's aggressive flow and the meaning behind the lyrics that won everyone over. Yes, the lyrics are simple, but it tells a Cinderella story about Cardi's rise to the top. Because of Cardi's rise, she's saying she can't be touched and she's a force to be reckoned with. We all have those moments where we're feeling ourselves—"don't mess with me today because I'm hot and simply NOT the one!" "Bodak Yellow" is the first #1 hit from a solo female rapper since Lauryn Hill topped the Hot 100 in 1998 with "Doo Wop (That Thing)."

Below are some notable, but explicit lyrics, per Genius

🎶Said, "Lil bitch, you can't fuck with me if you wanted to". These expensive, these is red bottoms, these is bloody shoes. Hit the store, I can get 'em both, I don't wanna choose. And I'm quick, cut a nigga off, so don't get comfortable, look. I don't dance now, I make money moves. Say I don't gotta dance, I make money move. If I see you and I don't speak, that means I don't fuck with you. I'm a boss, you a worker, bitch, I make bloody moves.🎶

Post Malone's "Rockstar" featuring 21 Savage has been the top song of the as of late. The trap smash has topped the Hot 100 for six weeks thus far—replacing "Bodak Yellow" for the top spot. If this hit is any indication, Post Malone will be partying like a rockstar on his upcoming effort "Beerbongs & Bentleys."

Below are some significant, but explicit lyrics, per Genius

🎶I've been fuckin' hoes and poppin' pillies. Man, I feel just like a rockstar (star, ayy, ayy). All my brothers got that gas. And they always be smokin' like a Rasta (-sta). Fuckin' with me, call up on a Uzi. And show up, name them the shottas (-tas). When my homies pull up on your block. They make that thing go grrra-ta-ta-ta (ta, pow, pow, pow, ayy, ayy).🎶
