A fan reached out to Cardi B and says she isn't setting a good example for girls after the rapper tweeted out “I’m just nasty like that.” But Cardi says she feels uncomfortable and "trapped" by trying to be the role model people want her to be.

Celebrities like Cardi B have huge followings, so some do feel they have a certain sense of responsibility to be on their best behavior for the public. But some says it is ridiculous to rely on a celebrity to raise a child. According to Metro UK

I am so heartily sick of hearing women accused of being bad role models, when they never wanted to be a role model in the first place.
Kylie Jenner, for instance, is a famous woman. She doesn’t make products for children. She’s not on the Disney channel. She has never signed up to be a role model. If
Kylie Jenner is your child’s role model, that’s your fault. That’s on you. The only person who has a responsibility to be a role model for your child, is you.
Kylie Jenner owes you and your kid sweet FA. Yes she’s got lots of Instagram followers and shiny hair and teens think she’s super cool, but that’s truly not her responsibility. The role model trope has been used as a stick to beat celebrities with since time immemorial.
