Go Go Bryan Cranston! The Breaking Bad and Malcolm in the Middle star is set to play Zordon in the upcoming Power Rangers (2017) movie reboot. And fans are stoked. But they weren't so happy with Elizabeth Banks' Rita Repulsa look or the "Iron Man-looking" Power Ranger costumes. Critics called the film doomed.
Can the beloved Bryan Cranston save the reboot?
Cranston has an interesting history with the franchise. Trivia time! The first American blue power ranger, Billy Cranston, is named after the actor. Also, Cranston did voiceover work of various monsters on the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series. So again, fans are very happy with his casting as Zordon, the mentor of the rangers. On the other hand, some still believe the film can't be saved. We'll see come March 24, 2017, but in the meantime ...
