Camila Cabello and Normani Kordei got started as members of Fifth Harmony, but the two rising solo pop stars reunited at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, where both slayed the stage with epic performances. That momentum continues, as both stars were hot topics at the 2018 Video Music Awards. Normani scored her first solo R&B-pop hit "Love Lies" with Khalid, while Camila already has a chart-topping self-titled album and a #1 hit with "Havana," featuring Young Thug. Who's your favorite rising pop star?

Camila has not only scored a chart-topping album and a chart-topping single, but the singer is winning accolades left and right. Tiffany Haddish pointed out Camila's success by dissing Fifth Harmony at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. People has the details:

“Camila Cabello is here nominated for 5 awards. So those of you watching at home, hi Fifth Harmony!” Haddish joked.
Though Cabello was shown shaking her head in the audience, the jab comes after the “Havana” singer admitted feeling hurt when her old girl group simulated kicking her off the stage during their performance at the show last year.

Camila seems to be on better terms with her former bandmates. She and Normani reunited at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, and the former ladies of 5H are all about supporting other female artists! But upon winning Artist of the Year at the 2018 VMAs, it's clear that Camila is the breakout pop star of the year!

Check out Camila's Billboard Music Award performance of her #1 hit "Havana," and "Sangria Wine" with Pharrell Williams.

Haddish's joke about 5H sitting at home, while Camila is racking up hardware, didn't sit well with Harmonizers or her fellow music artists. Nicki Minaj clapbacked in favor of Normani when she accepted her award for Best Hip-Hop Video. TooFab has the tea:

"Oh, my God. I wanna thank you guys so much," she began her acceptance speech. "Shoutout to my fans. I know they're watching. They're watching online. And don't be coming for Fifth Harmony because Normani Kordei is that bitch," she added, throwing shade at Haddish.
In response, Kordei thanked Minaj for "lifting" her up and sent her "love" and "congratulations."
"@NICKIMINAJ I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you," she wrote on Twitter. "You perfect queen you! Thank you for lifting me up. God is real. Now y'all know I love me some Nickiiiiiiiiiiiiii. Congratulations on tonight!!! Proud of you always."

Many agree with Minaj. Normani's fans call her "the next Beyoncé." Fader's Muna Mire recently caught up with Normani to discuss her blossoming solo career.

Rolling around on the floor in a tiny leotard, her dance moves were not only sultry, but executed with the killer precision and carefree attitude audiences have come to expect from the likes of Beyoncé. Somewhat controversially, Twitter has dubbed the 22-year-old Normani — the possible breakout star of her own massively successful girl group — the second coming of Bey. Normani is clearly pleased when I ask her about this during a recent sit-down at a studio in Brooklyn, even if she maintains a modicum of modesty: “It’s flattering but I definitely have room to grow and improve. I want to work for my spot. It’s not fair that I’m the next Beyoncé just yet. But I hope to become that.”

It's clear that Normani is just getting started. Just check out Normani slay her BBMA performance of "Love Lies" with Khalid below.
