With the release of her new album Glory, Britney Spears is staging a comeback. At the VMA's she performed her single Make Me with rapper G-Eazy. She wore a yellow leotard studded with sequins and at one point grabbed G-Eazy's junk. Reviews of the performance were lackluster. Spears had to follow an epic Beyonce medley that was probably impossible for anyone to follow. But Britney was once the Princess of Pop. You can't dismiss that. So, will this VMA performance kick her fans into action and shoot her back to the top? Or should we all just yawn and move on?

Press reviews are mixed. USA Today and the Los Angeles Times both thought Spears missed the mark. Billboard thought Britney slayed the red carpet and Rolling Stone called the performance "fiery." This Vanity Fair review said Britney did just good enough to remain relevant.
