"Hocus Pocus" has gone on to become a cult classic among millennials. The new Disney adaptation of the film is in the works, which has split fans. Either way, you can catch this Disney classic on TV every October. Even some critics in the 1993 loved the fun, campy comedy. The Seattle Times' Jeff Shannon wrote:
But then, the details hardly matter. The fun of "Hocus Pocus" comes not from its carefree plot, but from the way Ortega, Midler & Co. have used it as a springboard for zaniness, without slowing the story.
