Best Pop Vocal Album: 'Dangerous Woman' or 'Purpose'? | The Tylt
Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber are both up for Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys. Although Adele's "25" is favored—Ariana and Biebs are the epitome of mega pop stars! Ariana grew fully into her artistry (and those powerhouse vocals) on one of the most acclaimed albums of 2016—"Dangerous Woman." Bieber scored his sixth #1 hit with "Purpose"—which is also the third best-selling album of 2016. But who should win Best Pop Vocal Album? 🎤

It's Grammys season! And the Tylt is facing-off the best song performances, albums and artists in the top genre categories. The "Grammy face-offs" are chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately with our head-to-head predictions, we want you to let us know who and what deserves to win in each category—before the Grammys air on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
Ariana and Biebs are young pop superstars at their peak. But which artist will win Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys?
Ariana's vocals are at their most powerful on "Dangerous Woman." Both her sound and overall music have matured on this album. After three successful albums—and now at the top of her game—it's time Ariana went home with a Grammy.
If we're talking pop vocals then we are talking about Ariana. She's the epitome of modern pop music, and has the pipes to back that up. Ariana showed off those pipes throughout the album, including dance-pop hits "Into You" and "Side to Side." And let's not forget her sexy lead single that shares the same title as the album.
Ariana continues to set the charts ablaze with her sexy pop tunes. "Dangerous Woman" ranked as Billboard's 22nd best album of 2016, and "Dangerous Woman" ranked at #11 on Rolling Stone's "Best Pop Albums of 2016" list.
Like Nicki Minaj rapped on their "Side to Side" collaboration, "Young Ariana run pop."
"Purpose" is not only nominated for a Grammy in the Best Pop Vocal Album category—but Album of the Year. AOY is two-way race between Beyoncé and Adele. But that's all the more reason why Biebs definitely has a strong shot to win here!
Biebs scored his greatest first week sales ever with "Purpose." And according to Billboard, he scored the biggest first week sales for any artist in 2015. "Purpose" was released in November 2015 and sold more than 500,000 units in one week! Plus, the album carried over success into another calendar year and managed to become the third best-selling album of 2016.
Biebs is killing it! There's no better way to honor the success of "Purpose" than with the "Pop Vocal Album" Grammy.
Arianators so see this happening for her.
