Best Pop Solo Performance: 'Love Yourself' or 'Hello'?
It's Grammys season! And the Tylt is facing-off the best song performances, albums and artists in the top genre categories. The "Grammy face-offs" are chosen by a combination of popularity, impact, acclaim, rankings and/or amount sold. But ultimately with our head-to-head predictions, we want you to let us know who and what deserves to win in each category—before the Grammys air on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
"Love Yourself" and "Hello" are two of the best-selling and praised singles of 2016. And both Adele and Bieber were commended for their individual vocal performances. Both hits also exceptional productions. But who deserves to win the Grammy?
Bieber scored the biggest hit of 2016 with the acoustic pop single "Love Yourself." While Ed Sheeran co-wrote the hit, Bieber laid down his smoothest vocals yet. The #1 hit was crowned the greatest song of the 2016—hence, many agree Bieber deserves the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance.
It's no secret the Grammys love Adele. She won all six of her Grammy nods for her last album, "21," in 2012. And "25" is expected to carry on that success. "Hello" is as big of a mega pop hit as "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You" were back in 2010 and 2011. Adele might want to watch out for Biebs, but many believe she has this category in the bag again.
Beliebers believe he deserves to win all four Grammy nods—including Best Pop Solo Performance.
