TV witches were magical in the '90s. "Charmed" and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" were two of the most popular shows of the decade. "Charmed" was so good from 1998-2006 that there's a reboot in the works. "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" debuted with more than 17 million viewers as part of ABC's TGIF lineup back in 1996, and was a ratings hit for seven seasons. But which '90s witch-oriented show really reigned supreme?

"Charmed" and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" will always be among the most dazzling classics of '90s nostalgia and pop culture. But if you could only pick one—which show is better?

"Charmed" is about three sisters who discover they have the "Power of Three" and must use their witchcraft to stop evil forces. SPOILER ALERT AHEADbut not really, because who doesn't know this?!

The eldest sister dies at the end of season three. The other two sisters discover they have a long-lost half sister, and she completes the "Power of Three" again. The show had a cult following and was a big hit for the WB beginning in 1998 and lasting well past the turn of the century. "Charmed" nostalgia is so high that a new, prequel-like series set in the 1970s will debut on the CW. Hence, the legacy of the "Charmed Ones" lives on!

Millennials got to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" last fall. The show centers on Sabrina, a teenage girl who lives with her two aunts and discovers she's a witch on her 16th birthday. (She also finds out that her two aunts are 600-year-old witches.)

Sabrina has to deal with regular teenage issues. But she also has to juggle her heritage and how to harness her magical powers. "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" ruled ABC's TGIF—the show's debut garnered more than 17 million viewers. The series had the backing of ABC for four seasons before moving to the WB for the last three. And with ratings like that, you know Sabrina showcased just how powerful witchcraft really is in pop-culture.
