Barrettes were spotted all over New York Fashion Week and your favorite celebrities have been rocking them for a while now. But just because something is a trend doesn't mean it is attractive. Some argue barrettes are just ugly, regardless of who is rocking them. Are hair barrettes ugly?

Hair barrettes are having a resurgence and according to Elle, they were all over NYFW:

They're typically worn just on one side, with hair down, and add a touch of personality to any look.
