Most anticipated DCEU debut solo blockbuster: 'Aquaman' or 'Shazam'?

While the highly anticipated "Wonder Woman 1984" hits theaters in the fall of 2019, "Aquaman" and "Shazam" are the next two films to drop in the DC Extended Universe. Fans are hyped, with all the buzz surrounding the upcoming blockbusters. "Aquaman" comes out in December 2018, and moviegoers are ultimately excited to see Jason Momoa make the hero cool. "Shazam" is scheduled for release in April 2019, and fans are ready for a fun adventure. But which film are you most anticipating?

Jason Momoa told Entertainment Weekly that his goal was to do Aquaman justice for the fans: 

I want to make Aquaman fans proud. A lot of the real Aquaman fans love him, and I love them for it. And some people don’t like him — my job was to kind of come in and make this guy cool. I was worried [at first] that maybe they wouldn’t like me. But they’ve responded really well. 

The blockbuster hits theaters on Friday, Dec. 21.

Fan are excited for a goofy adventure, following the first look of the movie. The movie's star Zachary Levi is not only stoked about the solo blockbuster but the possibility of joining the Justice League. According to Entertainment Weekly

The idea certainly excites star Levi. When the actor was headed to his final audition for the role last year, the studio drove him past Justice League billboards and he wondered about the possibility. “I would lose my s— if that happened, I would lose all of the s—s,” Levi tells us. “I remember thinking, ‘If I get this and if this movie does well enough and if Justice Leauge does well enough and they make another Justice League … maybe I’ll be on that next poster with all those guys.”

The blockbuster is expected to drop on Friday, April 5, 2019, in a theater near you.
