iHeartRadio Female Artist of the Year: Alessia Cara or Halsey?

Alessia Cara and Halsey are both pop divas who fully arrived in 2017, and their hard work paid off as they're nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Alessia Cara is still riding high off of the success of her 2015 debut album "Know-It-All," scoring many top 10 solo hits and collaborations, and the Grammy for Best New Artist. Halsey gained a #1 album in 2017 with "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom," and "Bad at Love" peaked at #5 on the Hot 100. Who should win? 🎤

On March 11, the 5th Annual iHeartRadio Music Awards is honoring the best music artists heard across radio stations throughout the year. Pop divas slayed in 2017; so the Tylt is joining in on the voting and bracketing which artist should win Female Artist of the Year. Unfortunately, our bracket had to leave someone off, and that's P!nk. Halsey, Alessia Cara, Rihanna and Taylor Swift were respectively among the top 10 female artists of 2017, according to Billboard. Fandoms can officially vote via iHeartRadio's site, but we are also asking you all to predict who will win the coveted award with our hashtags!

Alessia Cara won Best New Artist at the Grammys after years of grinding. She scored top 10 solo hits with "Here" and "Scars to Your Beautiful." And she gained top 10 collaborations with Zedd on "Stay," and with Logic and Khalid on "1-800-273-8255" in 2017. Alessia has arrived and she's "HERE" to "STAY."

Below are some notable lyrics to "Stay," per Genius.

🎶 All you have to do is stay a minute. Just take your time. The clock is ticking, so stay. All you have to do is wait a second. Your hands on mine. The clock is ticking, so stay.🎶

Halsey scored a mega hit with the Chainsmokers on "Closer" in 2016. Since then, her album "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom" topped the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, "Now or Never" peaked within the 20 on the Hot 100 and "Bad at Love" peaked at #5 on the Hot 100.

Below are some significant lyrics to "Bad at Love," per Genius.

🎶 I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe that we're meant to be. But jealousy, jealousy, jealousy, jealousy get the best of me. Look, I don't mean to frustrate, but I, always make the same mistakes, yeah, always make the same mistakes 'cause...🎶
