Who do you predict will win at the 2020 Grammys?
It’s the 2020 Grammys season! The competition is stiff in the top four categories, so maybe the Grammys will spread the wealth when it comes to winners this year. The Tylt also hopes to see a range of winners and get you to predict who will (and should) win Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist. Cast your predictions and vote below!
Billie Eilish and Lizzo both received nods in all the top Grammy categories, and either could win any of those coveted honors. Hence, it’s predicted that Best New Artist comes down to these breakout queens. Lizzo scored her first #1 hit with “Truth Hurts,” while Eilish gained her first chart-topper with “Bad Guy.” Which breakout star should win Best New Artist?
The Grammys love a beautifully written ballad in the Song of the Year category, and Taylor Swift’s “Lover” and Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” are definitely that! Swift’s title track from her chart-topping “Lover” album peaked within the top 10 on Hot 100, while Capaldi made a breakthrough with his #1 ballad. Which hit should win Song of the Year?
Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus have the longest running Billboard Hot 100 hit with “Old Town Road.” Post Malone and Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” was also a chart-topping hit with longevity, and was also crowned Billboard’s second top song of 2019. Both productions were impeccable, but which song should win Record of the Year?
Billie Eilish is actually considered the frontrunner in the Album of the Year category for “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” and Lizzo’s “Cuz I Love You” is another top pick. But Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” is a fan favorite that cemented her as the current pop queen. Hence, Ariana Grande’s pop mood album could very well win in this category. Lana Del Rey may be the underdog, but her acclaimed “Norman Fucking Rockwell” LP is widely loved. So, between Ariana and Lana’s masterful works, which LP should win Album of the Year?
