Below is the synopsis of "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," per Rotten Tomatoes.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that's the first of its kind. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

"Into the Spider-Verse" holds a fresh rating of 97 percent and an audience score of 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, at the time of publication. The blockbuster grossed over $352 million at the global box office.

The much-praised comic book movie came out in December 2018, becoming the last-minute frontrunner in the Best Animated Feature Film category. "Into the Spider-Verse" is clearly the animated feature to beat at the 2019 Oscars.

Below is the synopsis of "Incredibles 2," per Rotten Tomatoes.

Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in "Incredibles 2"--but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life. It's a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again--which is easier said than done, even when they're all Incredible.

"Incredibles 2" holds a fresh rating of 93 percent and 86 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, at the time of publication. The animated sequel was an even bigger hit than "Into the Spider-Verse," grossing over $1.2 billion at the global box office. Hence, if the Oscars decide to go for the biggest hit, it'll be "Incredibles 2."
