Which would rather explore: the ocean or outer space?

In a world dominated by GPS and cellular networks, it’s hard to find truly unexplored territory. However, that’s not to say it doesn’t exist. Take, for example, the vast expanse of blue we call the ocean. Or that really vast expanse of space we call, well, space. Both are uncharted territory of which we mere mortals know nothing about despite having (some) access to them. Which would you explore?

Exploring the ocean is far more advantageous over space for many reasons, the first being reach—if you want to explore the ocean, you don’t have to bust through the stratosphere to do it. It’s convenient and, if we’re being honest, probably a lot less stressful.

Another is that (most) underwater dwellers are familiar to us. In outer space, who knows what we’re up against?

Outer space is sick as all hell. You really want to explore explore? Get on that rocket and roll past Mars. Or beyond, honestly. No one knows how big space really is, so think of all the uncharted territory you can enter for the first time in, like, ever. You could have a galaxy named after you for your efforts!

Also, did you know that, despite being on the same planet, we technically know less about the ocean than outer space? Yup. Let that terrifying factoid sink in.
