Would you rather call someone or text them?
When was the last time you heard a friendly voice over the phone, one that wasn’t automated or a spam caller? Long time, right? Well, maybe it’s about time you picked up the phone and gave someone a call. Inspire a little voice-to-voice interaction instead of contributing to your inevitable carpal tunnel syndrome.
Roll your eyes all you will, but there’s a lot more benefits to calling someone up as opposed to texting than one might think. Of course, the human interaction is all well and good, but verbally communicating something to someone is a lot easier due to the fact you can gage how the feel through their tones. And, you know, you don’t have to look down as you type something crossing the street (don’t be that guy, please).
Texting is the way to go. It’s faster, easier, and it gets the message out to people in a more efficient way. As opposed to calling and leaving a lengthy voicemail, you can shoot a few sentences on off to the receiver and know they’ve received it loud and clear.
Not to mention calling is way more of a time-waster than texting is. With texting, it’s a one-and-done situation; if you want to send the crux of the matter in one short sentence, go ahead and send it. Looking to prolong it a little bit more? You can text it a little bit more! Phone calls always seem to go on forever, no matter how brief the matter discussed may be. We’ll take brevity and a well-placed emoji any day of the week, thanks.
