The climate crisis has many severe impacts, not least among them the cost of repairing what's lost. According to the Global Climate Strike movement—a movement largely led by teens concerned for their futures—"reparations" must be paid to offset the cost incurred as a result of climate change. The Tylt has had extensive conversations with youth activists in our Climate Change Series. Many hold certain industries and corporations accountable for the crisis itself and believe they should be responsible for righting their own wrongs. Others believe that countries, rather than corporations, are responsible for the majority of carbon emissions in the world and should pay up. Who should bear the cost of climate change?
