Who doesn't like to switch things up every now and then, right?! So when somebody at The Tylt suggested we swap out our social backgrounds, everyone cheered. Our Slack channel was a barrage of celebratory/giphys and a rainbow of emojis.\n\nBut when it came time to actually pick a background, we couldn't get on the same page. \n\nWe narrowed it down to two images. These were processed by Pikazo, which we highly recommend if you want to remix images into unique artwork.\n\nThe silver loaded image we call "Mylar." It has a clean but playful feel, much like the Mylar material that inspired it. The sheen catches your eye. There's enough detail for the image to be interesting without too much distraction, so it's still easy to read. This is supposed to be in the background after all. Mylar isn't trying to steal the show like the bullheaded Impasto.\n\nThose of us who like the second image think it's a bit more fun, but still refined. "Impasto" is a painting technique where paint is slopped onto the canvas, giving it texture. The extra paint here is just begging for you to touch it. The image has exploding energy from all the colors, in contrast to the cold humorless Mylar. \n\nIf you'd like to see the winning background in all of its glory you can follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook. \n\nSo which would you rather see on The Tylt's Twitter or Facebook background? \n\nYou can vote here or by sharing the hashtags #Impasto or #MylarIf it is a background image for a social account you seek, look no further than #ImpastoBehold #Mylar in all its glory.
