Which 'Harry Potter' house is the most underrated: Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff? | The Tylt
Of the four houses at Hogwarts, Gryffindor and Slytherin receive the most attention, perhaps because their members famously include Harry Potter and Voldemort. But Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff deserve respect too. Ravenclaw's house animal is the eagle; its members are known for intelligence, knowledge, and wit. Hufflepuff values hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play—and its emblem is the badger. Which house is the best?

Hufflepuff was always branded the underdog house—but who doesn't love the underdog? Especially a loyal underdog with mad amounts of integrity. Nice guys don't always finish last, you know.
J.K. Rowling has said, "In many, many ways, Hufflepuff is my favorite house.’" Why? J.K. Rowling says to look at how they act during the Battle of Hogwarts.

But House Ravenclaw has also been historically underrated. With brains, eccentricity, and a love of learning, they're basically nerds with magic powers. What's not hot about that?
