The Austrian government is going to seize the house where Hitler was born. The real question though is, what should they do with it? \n\nMany believe it should be bulldozed. Raze it to the ground and build something new in its place so the building can never become a shrine for neo-Nazis. \n\nOn the other hand, perhaps it should be kept, but re-purposed. \n\nFrom France24:\n\nGerhard Baumgartner, head of the Austrian Resistance Documentation Centre, said that the building should be 'completely depoliticised.... It should be turned into something that nobody wants to be photographed in front of... a supermarket, a Humana (second-hand clothes shop) or a fire station -- a sensible usage.'\n\nOthers think the house should be turned into a museum. A sign currently in front of the building reads "For Peace, Freedom and Democracy. Never Again Fascism, Millions of Dead Warn." We should not erase Hitler from the history books. Rather, we should remember what happened so it won't ever happen again. \n\nStill, wouldn't it be super satisfying to see the building brought down? Let's move on.\n\nWhat do you think we should do with Hitler's home: #KeepIt or #WreckIt?
