Office holiday parties are already pretty awkward. Would bringing a date make it worse? On one hand, you'll have a new ally who you can enlist to avoid talking to your boring co-workers and you're more likely to have a fun time. On the other hand, there's that whole thing where you have to introduce your date to your boss and co-workers. That's a pretty big step if you're just casually dating. They could also embarrass you in front of your professional peers. What do you think? 🤔

Bringing your date to the holiday party is a Pandora's Box you should probably leave closed.

Sure, your co-workers might be curious about who you're dating. Maybe you don't actually want to hang out with your coworkers. That doesn't matter. Leave. 👏  Your. 👏  Date.👏  At. 👏  Home. 👏

Nothing good will come out of it.

But there's really nothing wrong with bringing a date! Like with all things office holiday party-related, it all depends on where you work and who your co-workers are. If you're working in a corporate hellhole, you probably don't want to bring your date. But otherwise, where's the harm in bringing a partner to have a good time with your colleagues?
