It's World Chocolate Day, and the Internet is awash in images of delicious desserts... except for the white chocolate.\n\nInquiring minds want to know.....\n\nIs white chocolate delicious—or disgusting?\n\nBuzzfeed ran an anti-white chocolate piece in 2014 claiming that "white chocolate is an abomination" and demanding it be banned:\n\nIt’s not chocolate. What it is is a travesty— an unctuous, overwhelming, greasy slab of cocoa butter, milk solids, milk fat, and sweetener. NO COCOA SOLIDS. NO CHOCOLATE. THERE IS LITERALLY NO CHOCOLATE IN IT. IT IS A LIE.\n\nThis level of antipathy is typical of white chocolate haters — they really find it sinful and wrong, a perversion of the greatest dessert on earth. To them, white chocolate is an oxymoron, like "humane slaughter," " friendly fire" or "family vacation."\n\nAnd yet, there are white chocolate lovers among us mortals. It's smooth, creamy and has a strong aftertaste that only a true connoisseur can appreciate. Just listen to the main ingredients of white chocolate: cocoa butter, milk solids, sugar and milk fat. You're telling me that doesn't sound delicious!\n\nNow's the time to make your voice heard on World Chocolate day.
