Is NBC's coverage of LGBT Olympians problematic?

An editorial in SB Nation's OutSports says NBC has problematic coverage of LGBT people at the Olympics. Among the litany of offenses are: misgendering Brazilian volleyball player Larissa França's wife as her "husband" and failing to mention the historic nature of Matthew Mitcham's 2012 gold medal win as an out LGBT-Olympian. According to the network, it simply does not discuss sexual orientation.
